JACK HERER STRAIN
The Jack Herer strain is a sativa dominant power-house well known throughout the cannabis industry. Named after the author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes, the strain has gained as much notoriety as one could have in today’s booming world of ganja cultivars. Originally created as a medical strain for Dutch pharmacies in the Netherlands by Sensi Seeds in the mid ‘90s, Jack Herer combines the best of Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk.
You can’t choose a better flavored and more iconic strain than Jack Herer for those long nights studying, playing video games, or getting crafty with an open sense of imagination and wonder. Jack Herer packs a mentally cerebral stone perfect for daytime or social uses. When toking up the Jack, it is often advised that you have something on your agenda, lest you will feel the indica background and wind up stuck on the couch with a lap full of junk food. That’s right, along with the stony eyes, a heightened sense of bliss, and an overwhelming boost in creativity, Jack Herer can make your appetite soar! It’s quite easy to become ravenously hungry if you’re not careful.
Medically speaking, Jack Herer is one of the earliest strains to be recognized as having legitimate medicinal uses. This variety is well known for helping with an increase in appetite for those suffering with ailments that can affect hunger. Alternatively, stress and anxiety are no match for the punch that Jack Herer brings to the table. Smoking this strain is sure to be a pleasure from the very first puff.
For the connoisseurs who are interested in more than just the effects, Jack Herer packs a pungent earthy and sour nose similar to that of a lime zest coated in pine sap and dusted with concentrated skunk. This strain is LOUD. One can easily recognize the iconic “weed smell” coming from the grow closet, so growing with carbon filters is a must for the stealth farmer. She grows tall, fast, and lanky with large, foxy, resin covered colas that will surely need support in late flower. Jack is one of the quicker flowering sativa varieties finishing between 60 and 70 days putting her in direct competition with some of the better known indica varieties.
If a strong, delicious, and terpene-rich sativa dominant hybrid is what you’re searching for, you’d be hard pressed to find one better than Jack Herer.
