Green Crack Strain
Named by the Dogg Father, Snoop Dogg took a couple hits of this delectable flower and instantly referenced the sticky icky as Green Crack after noticing its intensely strong Sativa effects comparing her directly to a bump of cocaine. A connoisseur's delight, this cultivar was made by crossbreeding the world-renowned Skunk #1 to an Afghani landrace. Often called by many names, Green Crack can be found under the titles of Mango Crack, Green Cush, or Cush.
Green Crack offers a wide range of effects depending on the phenotype you run into. Most popular is the Sativa-dominant version that is heady, energetic, and focused making it the perfect daytime smoke. Utilize this strain to knock things off the to-do list or to get creative and shed new solutions to a specific problem. Green Crack can be the smoke to get you on your way without slowing you down like the average indica variety. Similar to the effects of a double-shot of espresso, Green Crack will have you wired and ready to accomplish your next task. It's no wonder this strain is named after the infamous stimulant. For those not wanting to associate this precious flower with the negative stigma of the street drug, you can just call her Cush...
When the thought of “classic weed” comes to mind, it is almost impossible not to include Green Crack in that particular list of strains. Bred in the mid 1970’s, Green Crack is one of the few strains to truly withstand the test of time. For its time, Green Crack had a shockingly high THC content easily surpassing 20% which is considerably higher than most strains of the day and quite comparable to newer hybridized strains of the late 2000’s. Classic weed or not, Green Crack is still keeping up with todays “exotic” varieties that seem to all be similar in nature. Green Crack stands in a category all on its own for its unique flavors and effects that seem to have been bred out of modern ganja!
Green Crack Grows like it’s being paid to do so! She grows tall and fast making this strain an ideal candidate for the SCROG (Screen of Green) farmer. Because of the rapid growth rate, filling a trellis with horizontal growth can happen quickly allowing for light to hit bud-sites that would otherwise be shadowed by a large and bushy canopy. If maintained properly, Green Crack will produce a plethora of large, vibrant green, and dense colas reminiscent of spades and golf balls. Green Crack does specifically well indoors but can thrive in any environment. She can also do well in harsh climates be it hot or cold making her ideal for farmers of any experience level. Her temperament is not reflected negatively since she seems to persevere through all types of environmental conditions.
There is no shortage of THC on these buds as they appear to be dusted with terpene-rich sugar inside and out. The smell is also out of this world! The smell can often be overlooked due to her potent effects but connoisseurs will take notes of her complex limey, mango-citrus, and pine stench with undertones of earthy musk and fresh lawn trimmings. These notes directly corelate to her flavor as well. Upon inhale you’re faced with some serious sweet and earthy smoke while the citrus, pine, and tart mango-lime overload your palate upon exhale.
Green Crack can be the perfect cultivar for farmers of any experience level looking to experience an out- of-this world sativa buzz that can only be brought on by a strain named after a stimulant. Morning coffee, or morning smoke? You decide! We suggest both since the flavors of Green Crack pair well with a nice Arabica dark roast...
